Fire + Earth: Tony Hall

At Castle Hill Arts, Tony Hall produces traditional ceramic ware and has begun to explore portraiture in clay. He also throws really big terracotta pots! We’re hoping to feature the latter at Fire + Earth in addition to some of Tony’s tabletop-sized offerings.

‘Implied Narratives’ still going strong; July preview

You can experience the exuberant colour and pattern of Aine Venables‘ smart, stylish mixed-media prints and Ita Drew‘s playful narrative sculptures here at the Leg through 3 July. Ring or email us – or if you see me in there tapping away at my laptop while you’re passing by, just knock!

It’s time for a sneak peek at next month’s offering: ‘Beauty Is Truth’, featuring Helga Powell‘s keenly observed botanical watercolours and Carolyn Watson‘s natural-fibre sculptural vessels. Helga is the winner of Jackson’s Early Entry Award for Watercolour – a very well-deserved honour.

‘Beauty Is Truth’ will open 16 July, with a preview reception on the evening of Friday 15 July.
