New Twists on Old Masters: starts 21 May

Our next exhibition at Leg of Mutton takes a turn for the figurative. New Twists on Old Masters will feature oil paintings by GR Vaughan (ARMS) and sculpture by Tobias Ford.

Vaughan, a longtime Herefordshire resident and consistent exhibitor during Herefordshire Art Week, studied classical art in Cyprus. With timeless subject matter and impeccable handling of his medium, Vaughan’s paintings are truly masterful. Vaughan is an associate of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers.

Tobias Ford, a recent graduate of Hereford College of Arts, imbues his figures and fragments with a contemporary sensibility, expressing delicate motion with rough, raw metal.

The exhibition opens on 21 May, with an artists’ reception on Friday 20 May from 6 to 8 PM.
